World meet Ragan

My wife loves animals. One day, while they were at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter for school, they worked on a dog labeled a Pit mix and thus destined for euthanasia and city dump. They decided she really wasn’t a Pit-bull at all but rather Lab and Boxer, so she and her friend adopted her and my wife brought her home.

She was dead sick with kennel cough and Coccidia and continued to be that for weeks, waking me up pretty much every night. Eventually I did come to kind of like her, so now we’re keeping her. She’s a really good dog, very sweet.

Her Hobbies are:

  • eating all the food in the world
  • throwing up said food
  • chewing up Asuka’s toys
  • chewing up power cords
  • sleeping
  • chasing balls and frisbees and not bringing them back
  • rolling over on her back
  • acting like a retard when she’s on her back

She learns pretty fast though and will be a good dog to have with children. You can do tug her ears, pull her legs, all those things kids love to do, without moving a muscle. She rides well in the car – which means no frantic crying, whining, and pacing around like the Terrier.

Ragan laying down

Interestingly, Asuka gets along really well with Ragan. She starts acting all weird, licking her ears like a maniac; I guess she’s always had an ear fetish. Weirdo. Anyway, they are not killing each other, so that’s good!
So world, meet my new dog!
