Bush’s deficit spending bad? Think again.

Tags: , , ,

Yeah I’m on a financial roll. This is interesting though. Karl Rove in the WSJ:

Mr. Obama cannot dismiss critics by pointing to President George W. Bush’s decision to run $2.9 trillion in deficits while fighting two wars and dealing with 9/11 and Katrina. Mr. Obama will surpass Mr. Bush’s eight-year total in his first 20 months and 11 days in office, adding $3.2 trillion to the national debt. If America “cannot and will not sustain” deficits like Mr. Bush’s, as Mr. Obama said during the campaign, how can Mr. Obama sustain the geometrically larger ones he’s flogging?

Praying for Obama

Tags: , ,

As unhappy as I am about the turnout of this election, let’s pray for the new president and his family, his decisions and staff. Dr Richard Land and Dr Albert Mohler elaborate some on the topic of how Christians should respond to this.

Get ready for socialism!

Or vote against it on November 4. Looks like more evidence crept up displaying Obama as a socialist, as if more evidence was needed, on WorldNetDaily.com and Doug Groothuis’ Constructive Curmudgeon. How can people be so blind? Lost people, sure, but Christians?

Can a Christian vote for Obama?

The answer, as with so much, is, of course, yes. Would it be a biblical vote? Not at all. Obama’s pro-abortion stance is so obnoxiously obvious, it is beyond me why anyone just slightly concerned by over one million dead babies every year would even consider it.

I found a very good and well written article by Robert P. George of Princeton University. It came my way via the Triablogue crowd. It’s somewhat long, which may turn people off who are used to reading blogs instead of books, but it’s well worth the read.
